Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls
  • 4 large apples (2 Honeycrisp and 2 Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolved in 3 tbsp water)
  • 5 tbsp butter (partially melted)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/21 tsp cinnamon (based on your preference)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin tin with softened butter.
  2. Slice and dice the apples, then mix them with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, melted butter, and cornstarch in a bowl. Heat until thickened.
  3. Press each cinnamon roll into the muffin cups to create a cavity for the apple filling.
  4. Fill each roll with the apple mixture using a slotted spoon.
  5. In another bowl, prepare streusel topping by mixing melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle over each filled roll.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Whisk together icing ingredients while baking; drizzle over cooled rolls.
