  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the dry ditalini pasta, stirring to combine with garlic.
  3. Pour in chicken broth until the pasta is covered; season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 9-10 minutes.
  4. Stir the pasta and check doneness; some broth may remain but will absorb as it cools.
  5. Gradually stir in heavy cream while on simmer for about one minute.
  6. Remove from heat; mix in butter and parmesan cheese until melted into a creamy sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning; serve hot with additional parmesan if desired.
