- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp AllSpice
- 1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
- 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 2 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Whole Milk
- 2 cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1 large Egg Yolk
- 1 tbsp Water
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk with yeast and light brown sugar; let sit until frothy.
- Add flour, spices, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and beaten egg; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl for 60 minutes.
- Prepare the filling by mixing sugars and spices in a small bowl.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter and sprinkle the spice mixture on top.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into six equal pieces. Let rise again for 30 minutes in a greased baking dish.
