Soy Marinated Flank Steak is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that elevates a simple cut of meat into a culinary delight. This recipe combines the savory richness of reduced sodium soy sauce with the sweetness of honey, complemented by aromatic garlic and ginger. The result is a tender steak that’s bursting with flavor, perfect for serving at casual dinners or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion, plus more for garnish
  • 3/4 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 pounds flank steak

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, red chili pepper flakes, and green onions.
  2. Set aside 1/4 cup of the marinade mixed with rice vinegar in a small bowl for later use.
