- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion, plus more for garnish
- 3/4 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 2 pounds flank steak
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, red chili pepper flakes, and green onions.
- Set aside 1/4 cup of the marinade mixed with rice vinegar in a small bowl for later use.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the remaining marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 12 hours).
- Preheat grill to high heat and grease grates.
- Remove steak from marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned; flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes to desired doneness.
- Rest the steak for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
