Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 and 3/4 cups unsalted butter, very cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup ice-cold water
  • 4 cups hulled and chopped fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups halved fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pie Dough: Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until pea-sized clumps form. Gradually add ice-cold water until large clumps form. Shape into discs and refrigerate.
  2. Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix strawberries, blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one disc into a rectangle (10×16 inches) and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Spread the filling over the crust with a border. Roll out second disc; drape over filling or cut strips for lattice design. Seal edges and cut slits in top crust.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
